Sichuan Dirt - Asian Fusion Spice Blend

Mix Sichuan Dirt with olive oil and drizzle onto fried chicken, for an Asian style "Nashville Hot Chicken." Use in Kung Pao chicken, roasted leg of lamb, hamburgers, or other Asian style dishes. Use as a dry rub for tingling smoked chicken, pork and bacon. Sprinkle onto eggs, popcorn, French fries, salads and sandwiches. Mix with sour cream, milk and mayonnaise for a numbing chip or vegetable dip.

Sichuan Dirt Spice Blends are sifted prior to packaging.  Stand up bags are sealed and zipped to keep the contents fresh. Shaker spice jars  are sealed with a pressure sensitive liner. Store in a cool, dry place, and away from heat. Products may clump due to heat, humidity or improper seal. If your spice blend is clumping, remove from package and resift, or place in a coffee grinder or blender.

Chaplain Mychal Judge, often referred to as "Father Mike," was a beloved figure within the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). He served as the chaplain for the FDNY and was also a Franciscan friar and a Catholic priest. Judge became widely known for his compassionate service and his presence during times of crisis.

Tragically, Father Judge lost his life on September 11, 2001, during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. He was the first certified fatality of the attacks. His death highlighted his commitment to serving others, as he was administering last rites to a firefighter at the World Trade Center when he was killed by falling debris, becoming the first certified fatality of the September 11, 2011 attacks and designated as "Victim 0001". 

Father Mychal Judge's life and death have been remembered as emblematic of selfless service and dedication. He continues to be honored for his bravery, sacrifice, and compassion, particularly by the FDNY and the broader community of New York City.
